I work with adults and older adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, sleep difficulties, life transitions, or cognitive concerns.
Many people I work with are thoughtful and motivated to better understand their mental health and the factors that may be contributing to how they feel.
Care is collaborative and individualized, with attention to biological, psychological, and lifestyle factors that influence brain and mental health. When appropriate, laboratory testing may also be used to help identify underlying contributors and guide a personalized treatment plan.
-
Insurance billing is managed through secure partner platforms. If you would like to use your insurance, please reach out and I can help determine eligibility and guide you through the scheduling process. Availability may vary by state and plan.
If I am not in-network with your plan, I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

In some cases, controlled medications may be used short term as a bridge while we establish a more sustainable treatment plan. My approach focuses on longer-term solutions, and these medications are not typically used on an ongoing basis.
-
Appointments include supportive therapy, education, and guidance as part of your care.
If ongoing psychotherapy would be beneficial, I am happy to coordinate care with a therapist so that you have the right level of support.
If more intensive or longer-term psychotherapy focused on deeper emotional processing is needed, appropriate referrals are provided to ensure the right level of support.

At Luna Psychiatry, laboratory testing is often used to better understand biological factors that may influence mental health. In addition to a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, labs can provide valuable insight into areas that impact brain function and mood.
Depending on individual needs, lab testing may include evaluation of:
Nutrient status
Metabolic and inflammatory markers
Hormonal and thyroid health
These results can help guide a more personalized treatment plan that may include medication, targeted nutritional support, lifestyle strategies, or other evidence based approaches.
Laboratory testing is billed separately through the laboratory.

In certain cases, pharmacogenetic testing may be considered to better understand how an individual metabolizes specific psychiatric medications. This type of testing can provide additional information, but it does not replace clinical judgment or careful medication monitoring.
Genetic testing is not routinely required and is used selectively based on clinical history, prior medication response, and individual needs. Insurance coverage varies, and potential costs are reviewed prior to ordering testing.
